If you want to “do it all” and have a full PAL (Canadian Firearms Possession and Acquisition License) covering non-restricted and restricted firearms AND do some hunting AND are over 18 years old, we strongly recommend doing the CFSC + CRFSC first, and then pick up the Ontario Hunter Education Course later. Why? Because it takes several months to apply for and get a PAL after the course, but you can buy a hunting license the day after your Hunter Education Course. So start the PAL process first.

As of July 2021, there is an option to do the Ontario Hunter Education Course “online” or you can join one of our experienced instructors “in-person” for a much more interactive, enjoyable and personalized experience – it’s your choice. There is no online option for CFSC or CRFSC.

You cannot take the Restricted course until you are 18 years old.
